Polypropylene Pipeline system for cool/hot water installation
Part 3: Pipe fittings
Foreword
This series standard is drafted on dynamic basis of close follow-up of Plastic Pipeline System for Cool/hot Water – Polypropylene being prepared by International Standardization Organization ISO/TC138 Technical Committee of Plastic Pipes, Fittings and Valves and in combination with the actual production conditions of polypropylene pipes and fittings in our country.
This series of standards consists of following three parts:
-GB/T 18742.1 - 2002 Polypropylene Pipeline System for Cool/hot Water- Part 1: General;
- GB/T 18742.2 – 2002 Polypropylene Pipeline System for Cool/hot Water- Part 2: Pipes;
- GB/T 18742.3 - 2002 Polypropylene Pipeline System for Cool/hot Water- Part 3: Pipe fittings.
This standard was proposed by China National Light Industry Council.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of Sub-technical Committee (TC48/SC3) of Pipes, Fittings and Valves of National Plastic Products Standardization Technical Committee.
This standard was drafted by Shanghai Baidie Pipe Technology Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Construction Material Plant), Hebei Yuguang Industrial Trade Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Weixing Group New Material Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Yongheng New Construction Material Co., Ltd.
The main drafters of this standard are Xu Hongyue, Qiu Qiang, Zhu Liping, Feng Jinmao, Ni Shimin.

3 Definitions, symbols and abbreviations
This standard adopts the definitions, symbols and abbreviations specified in GB/T 18742.1.
4 Materials
4.1 The raw materials for pipe fittings production shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 18742.1.
4.2 The materials of metal part of pipe fittings shall not lead to degradation or aging to the plastic pipeline materials during use of pipeline.
Recommend:
—Stainless steel with the chrome content of no less than 10.5% and carbon content of no more than 1.2%;
—Copper or copper alloy after surface treatment.
5 Product categories
5.1 The fittings are divided into three categories of PP-H、PP-B、PP-R fittings according to different materials, refer to GB/T 18742.1.
5.2 The fittings are divided into hot melting socket connection fittings and electric melting connection fittings according to the melt connection method.
5·3 The classification of fittings is same to that of pipe according to pipe series S, and comply with the provisions in GB/T 18742.2. The wall thickness of fittings shall be no less than the wall thickness of fittings of same pipe series S.
6 Technical requirements
6.1 Color
Determine according to the agreement between supplier and buyer.
6.2 Appearance
The fittings surface shall be smooth and flat without any defect such as crack, blister, peeling and clear foreign matters, severe shrinkage and uneven color, decomposition and discoloring.
6.3 Opacity
The fittings shall be opaque.
For the fittings of which the fittings of same manufacturer and material have passed the opacity test, the test can be omitted. 原件下载:
